Coca-Cola Puerto Rico Bottlers (CCPRB) is the leading manufacturer, bottler, and distributor of non-alcoholic beverages in Puerto Rico.
The Company has promoted the manufacturing footprint in Puerto Rico, through vertical integration, by sourcing locally its plastic bottles, aluminum cans and other raw materials from affiliates.
Coca-Cola Puerto Rico Bottlers conducts its business through direct selling & distribution to supermarkets, wholesalers, clubs, convenience stores, bars, and restaurants. The Company also owns and manages the largest vending operation on the island.
COPING WITH CHALLENGES
In 2022, the year posed significant challenges for the company. Productivity lagged the growing demand, resulting in a noticeable uptick in out-of-stock instances.
Throughout this period, the company faced operational hurdles driven by macroeconomic factors, encompassing disruptions in the supply chain, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, and the effects of inflation.
Additionally, the difficulties in hiring were compounded, leading to critical vacancies in the manufacturing department and an increased workload.
